Is it possible for families to “pray without ceasing” throughout their busy days? Super-short, frequent prayers may be the way to go. Here’s how one dad does it. by Jerry Windley-Daoust “Pray without ceasing,” Paul says (1 Thessalonian 5:17). Vowed religious live out this advice by praying the Liturgy of the Hours, but what are parents and kids supposed to do? Is it even possible to pray throughout the day amid the craziness of family life? We have two Gospels that express two natures of our relationship with God. by Jen Schlameuss-Perry This is one of the strangest days of the liturgical year. There are two Gospels, we get palms to wave around, we help read the second Gospel and, in some cases, we are invited to walk together in procession (this palm procession is a precursor to the Eucharistic Procession we partici ..read more

Knowing God’s forgiveness is the first step to deeper relationship. This Sunday, April 7, Paul says, we are in pursuit of being made more perfect in Christ, which means that there are more steps to follow. by Jen Schlameuss-Perry As we draw ever closer to Easter, to the renewal of our baptismal vows, we are reminded that knowing God’s forgiveness is the first step to deeper relationship.
