Port workers who have been impacted by port closures from the Key Bridge collapse may be eligible for direct cash assistance thanks to a new partnership between the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) and the CASH Campaign of Maryland (CASH Campaign).
This direct cash assistance program is made possible through the BCF’s “Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund,” created because of an outpouring of support from businesses and philanthropists from across the region and the nation in the immediate aftermath of the Key Bridge collapsing.

Baltimore by Baltimore, the music and maker festival series, returns to the Inner Harbor Amphitheater on June 1 and will run through Oct. 5.

For generations, members of the Shank and Creek families, the owners of Palmyra Farms in Hagerstown, Maryland, approached dairy farming the same way: they milked the cows and sold the milk to a cooperative that distributed the milk to stores.
These days, Palmyra does a lot more. Maryland federal and state lawmakers, as well as local education groups, are speaking out against allowing teachers to carry firearms in classrooms, adding that they are confident that a bill allowing such a practice won’t come to fruition in the state.
