The program is a function of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. Braves mascot to be retired

Now, after months of consideration, Principal Aaron Hogge announced on Monday that the mascot would be retired after the graduating class of 2021. "My whole goal is to rally students together in unity," said Hogge. "It kind of came to our attention in the summer and we received direction from the Superintendent and the school board to examine the use of the Indian face and a B with a feather as a mascot." The Utah Judiciary is mourning the passing of Justice Court Judge Jerald L. Jensen, who died on Nov. 18. Judge Jensen served the justice courts in Davis County, Centerville, and Sunset since being appointed in 1991. He retired from Sunset Justice Court in 2016 and Davis County Justice Court in 2015. During his tenure, he led several reforms to Utah's justice courts. In 2011, Judge Jensen was the first justice court judge to consistently record hearings and sought funds to ensure transparency and judicial accountability on all levels. Students and faculty at Mountain High School have found an innovative way to help the environment while also assisting those experiencing homelessness by making mats out of plastic grocery bags.
