Dear Botsociety user,
I have important news to share with you.
When Stefano, my co-founder, and I started Botsociety, we wanted to change how AI was being designed, and we wanted to give creative people a tool to participate in the Conversational AI shift. Back then, very few companies had open roles as Conversation Designer, and even fewer were even considering investing in these skills. Now every major company is hiring and training for these roles. We think that we contributed to this shift, and that, now, designers have a seat at the table where AI systems are being built, which is amazing ..read more

Botsociety added a new way to map variables to make your conversations more dynamic and customizable at scale. This helps you prepare your design for handover and improve the conversational experience since now you’re dealing with dynamic conversations. Think about a person’s name, location, hours, product name, things that can be dynamic or arrive from the database, API integrations, etc. This new feature gives you more flexibility to customize your designs and make them ready for production.
Introducing variables
There is something magical about using variables in your design. This is not on ..read more

Utterances are messages that can be interpreted by your natural language processing engine and can be used as training data. To design a great conversational experience, Conversation Designers can help the team to generate utterances that can improve the AI models – but this is not a one-person job and many other roles can help on this task.
Getting familiar with utterances and the common terms
If you’re not familiar with these concepts, these are some of the most common terms that you may encounter in a conversational AI project:
Utterances: examples of messages that can be sent by a user

Botsociety now enables you to design multi-language conversations in the same design file. It has been a while that we have been testing this, but we are happy to introduce this feature to everyone. Forget creating different design files for different languages, now will be able to collaborate with others in the same design file.
In short, the multi-language feature is a new way to translate and localize conversations in the same design file.

In this article, you’ll learn everything about conversational AI. We will explain what it is, how it works, and why many companies are adopting it.
What is Conversational AI?
First of all, let’s define Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to Deloitte, it is a programmatic and intelligent way of offering a conversational experience to mimic conversations with real people, through digital and telecommunication technologies. These interactions are automated and can be both written or oral. For example, chatbots, voice devices like Siri and Alexa, apps, websites, and social platf ..read more

We interact with digital interfaces many times every day. For example, when we use our mobile phones, watches, tablets or when we talk to Alexa or Siri.
