In the realm of mountaineering, where every ascent is a testament to human endurance and spirit, few achievements stand as tall as Hassan Sadpara's incredible feat in 2006. In a display of unparalleled determination and skill, Sadpara, a Pakistani mountaineer, defied the odds by conquering two of Pakistan's highest peaks, Gasherbrum I (G1) and Gasherbrum II (G2), in a mere five days, all without the aid of supplemental oxygen.
Hassan Sadpara, born in the remote village of Sadpara in Skardu, Pakistan, was no stranger to the rugged beauty of the Karakoram Range. Having spent his formative years ..read more

Please be kind - it's taking a lot for me to even ask this.
I am a near-39 year old stay home mom. Once upon a time I was an aspiring mountain goat - hiked a bunch in the West Kootenays and southern AB Rockies in my teens/early 20s while in school. I did a relatively short climb just last week, and am now on my way to loose my 5th and 6th toenails in the last 3 years. I’m tired of constantly being in pain and just am not sure what to do without dramatically decreasing my l ..read more

Does anyone have any recommendations for a solid alpine/expedition pack? Looking for something that can perform normal alpinism tasks and can be taken on longer expeditions.
Some features I am looking for:
-55-70 liters
-relatively lightweight
-durable
-water bottle pockets
-reputable brand
-gear loops
-internal frame
