Word of the Year 2024
A MUNDANE LIFE
by

I've never been the sort to give myself a word of the year. This is mainly because I'm not the best at picking one word, or theme, to focus on. This year feels a little different. I feel like I'm finally starting to have more direction to what I want to be able to achieve for myself within a year, and I think 2024 is the year where instead of focusing on pleasing everyone else, I'm going to focus on pleasing myself. By this I mean really focusing on the things, and people, I love. I don't want to spend another year focusing on pleasing others, and helping them reach their goals when they don't ..read more

SWIFTOPOLY - A Bookish Journey Through The Eras
A MUNDANE LIFE
by
3M ago
When it comes to hobbies, I'm an all in, or not at all, kind of person. So of course I decided that for 2024 I needed to create an entire TBR came for myself. Typically the game had to also include my love for a certain Miss Swift, and so that is how Swiftopoly was born. Swiftopoly is "A Bookish Journey Through The Eras", and I hope you are ready to join this year long journey with me! We have a lot to get through when it comes to explaining the TBR (to be read) game so I will get straight to it. I've created the game board myself and it is sized so you can print it on many different siz ..read more

I WAS GIFTED THE PLANNER AND NOTEBOOK FEATURED IN THIS POST IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW When it comes to being organised, I need anything that can help. Even though I use a digital planner for myself, I love a hand written planner to keep track of things that are happening with my daughter. My daughter starts school in September, so I wanted a planner that would be small and compact, and that I could jot down anything I need to remember for her. I love my digital planner, but it stays at home and houses all my hobbies, but I need a physical diary to have everyday events in. I have h ..read more

Pixarathon 2020 TBR
A MUNDANE LIFE

My reading hasn't been amazing so far this year, and although I have had every intention of reading, I just haven't been too excited to read. I've been spending my time doing other hobbies, like playing The Sims and doing Diamond Painting, which hasn't left much time for reading. I also fall into the Twitter hole, and spend hours scrolling when I should be spending time reading. When I saw that Lily was hosting a Pixar themed readathon in July, I knew that I HAD to participate. I love movies, and I particularly love Pixar, and so reading books alongside some of my favourite books immediate ..read more

A MUNDANE LIFE

THIS IS A SPONSORED POST WITH OUTRIGHT GAMES Gaming has always been a huge interest of mine, and I spent most of my teen years playing multiplayer games online. I knew that one day I wanted to pass my love of gaming onto my children, and now Elise is four, she is the perfect age to introduce platform gaming to. We've already built up a love for educational games like Zoombinis, and the Lego games. I've also introduced her to some classics like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. When we were contacted about a new family platform game called "Gigantosaurus the Game" we were both really excited to tes ..read more

*Disclosure - This is a paid collaboration* This post is in conjunction with PedigreeĀ® but all thoughts are my own. We all know how important it is to look after our own teeth, but when it comes to looking after your dog, teeth should also be a top priority. In fact, did you know that 4 out of 5 dogs who are over the age of three experience gum disease at some point, even though 90% of owners think that their dog's teeth and gums are healthy?! If you would like to know a bit more about dog dental care, and how to look after your dog's teeth, and keep them nice and healthy then read on ..read more

A MUNDANE LIFE

*Disclosure - This is a paid collaboration* Back in 2017, I wrote about all the hidden daily struggles that I have due to some of my disabilities, mainly Epilepsy. Quite a bit has changed since that post, both disability wise and within my personal life, so I thought I would do a little update post on how things have changed, and how I have been adapting to the changes. Since my last post about my daily struggles, I actually had a seizure again so wasn't able to drive for a year - luckily though I haven't had another one since and have been seizure free for a while again now...plus I can dri ..read more

*Disclosure - This is a paid collaboration* I can't believe that I am saying this, but Elise is about to turn four! It has been an amazing four years, and she has grown and changed so much. We are so proud of her every day, and she really has turned into my little best friend. With Elise turning four, we know that we will soon need to update her room a little bit, so we've been on the hunt for some new furniture and bits and pieces to make her room magical. I thought I would share a little dream wish list with you, for items we would love for her, and some that we will actually be purchasing ..read more
