This Easter we are hosting not 1 but 3 Easter Weekend open days. Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday we are opening the centre to host a range of talks, quizzes, pellet dissection, feather discovery, crafts, as well as meeting our birds up nice and close. All these activities are included in the entrance price to the centre. I’ll be posting a timetable of talks and activities next week so keep an eye out. Do you dislike it when the winter months bring darker evenings, but you still have little ones to entertain? Well we have got you covered, with flood lights our centre is still very much somewhere to come and visit after school so we have decided to offer free entry to all children (normally prices at £2) from Tuesday to Friday after 4pm throughout the winter months. Between 4 and 5pm there is still plenty of time too do the quiz and read all about the birds on the centre tour. Join us this weekend, the 30th of July for the Moss End Summer Fair. With a wonderful collection of stalls, including T Whites and a Glitter Bar ( Katrina is totally making a b-line for this first thing in the morning!!!) Moss End is hosting a number of activities throughout the day including a talk from ourselves and Jungle reptiles. Christmas Opening Hours. Looking for something to do with the family in the wierd days of the Christmas and New Year gap??? Why not come on down to Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre and say hi to the birds. The centre is open to the general public until Christmas Day we are then closed on the 25th and 26th of December 2022 and then back open until the 1st and 2nd of January 2023. The centre is open 10am-5pm Tuesdays – Saturdays and then 10-4pm on Sundays (other than the days mentioned above) and we would love to see you visiting the centre. Finally an update!!! (November 2021) Its been so long and I feel that if you have followed us on social media you have been by our sides for every nail, plank of wood, wheel barrow of gravel, and tear. What is a Hen Harrier? Hen harriers (Circus cyaneus) are the most intensely persecuted bird of prey in the UK and are native to this country. They are an RSPB Red Listed species, meaning they are one of the highest conservation priority species in the UK and are deemed to need urgent action. Frozen food for Reptiles and Raptors  So today was a massive day for us, a great step in adjusting to the new world! We launched the sale of our frozen Reptile and Raptor foods. In early 2020 Reading Reptiles shop which was based on site along side our centre at Ladds Garden Village, sadly closed its doors and with it went our supply of frozen food.
