Have been using a Berg HR 95/0 M for about 5 decades on a MKiv Alto. Now that I have time to play sax, after flute chores, before heading to Valhalla or Davy Jones' Locker, would like to get a metal Berg with the same specs. Any thoughts on the current Bergs? SS or Bronze? Grew up spoiled, in a big city, where I could spend the day trying MPs. Thx, PP ..read more

This is MK 1 saxholder, no box or instruction manual. The cord was shortened to accommodate my bass saxophone, however I am including not one but two spare cords - very easy to fit. These are bona fide Jazzlabsaxholder spare cord 100% to the fundraising ..read more

The Clarinet

I wasn't sure where to put this... I've just a got a clarinet. Nothing fancy but the sound seems pleasant enough and the intonation on the notes I can play sounds great. I have no idea what tip opening the 'piece has (but it looks like the original one, so I'm guessing around a 4). It didn't come with a reed (or having been cleaned ) so I've been using an alto Java Red 2.5 on it. Not ideal but works remarkably well. The question is, as someone who uses 3 on tenor and 2.5 on alto... Read more ..read more

Greetings, I am at the beginner end and started with a bari. I have been playing bass guitar for many years in a church worship team and hope to carry over some skills from that. Does anyone know how Alba Estaban manages to play so gently on the bari? Does she use a certain kind or type of mouthpiece or maybe kind, type or strength reed? I would love to know if there are any combinations that really work as I just love her style of playing. Many thanks, Richard ..read more

Does anyone know what tenor piece Alex mainly uses , i heard him on the BBC Burt Bacharach tribute and he sounded very nice. A lot of the sound comes from the mouthpiece/reed so i was interested in the mouthpiece if anyone has a clue whilst also knowing that the player is more important than both but the mouthpiece may help me ..read more
