Does anyone have any tips for preparing as best as possible for a diploma?
I'm 28, working in medicine so quite busy but I'm lab based so 9-5 only thankfully. I've been preparing for the LTCL exam, as a long term goal of mine (did ABRSM 8 in 2016). It's going quite well, I'm 8 months out and want to be very technically assured by the time my recital comes around, so I can focus on communication and interpretation etc. as much as possible.
Does anyone have any experience with clarinet performance diplomas? With a relatively busy schedule, what are the best methods for efficient practice? Not j ..read more

Found this at a thrift store for $48 and it looks to have some damage. The serial number looks to be 44155. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've been using vandoren 3-3.5 for a bit, but I find that some of the the 3's are too soft and some of the 3.5's are too hard. Moreover, I'm not sure what the difference between the v21 or v12 or v16 are, since they're really inconsistent. Someone recommended I should use a different brand but I'm not sure what some other good brands are.
The vandoren reeds are pretty inconsistent so sometimes they will feel like a completely different strength, so I'm not really sure where I stand. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I came across the Uebel ETUDE while searching for synthetic clarinet options available in my area. It seems pretty unheard of and I couldn't find much info about it online, but I have 3 other models to consider nonetheless.
Buffet Prodige
Yamaha YCL-255
Howarth Academy
Could anyone share their experiences or thoughts on the Uebel ETUDE? I haven't got the chance to test it as it's currently out of stock.
Also, would appreciate it if anyone could share their opinions on the other models especially the Prodige and Howarth Academy. Thanks

Does anyone have any recommendations on some technician clarinet solos w a lil bit of lyrical stuff in it that’s not crazy hard to learn. Also has a piano accompaniment.

I've recently started back up on the Bb Clarinet after many decades and would consider myself at the Intermediate Level- playing mostly scores from transcribed Bach Flute pieces.
Where can I find similar scores at that level for practice? Open to any any musical genres actually. Thanks.
