I am trying to help a friend, this is a microsoft tablet but formated as a laptop from what she told me, a surface basically. She has it from work. We tried to keep on the power button (also more than 1 minute). Power + volume as well to force restart. Nothing happens, it just keeps on doing this. I should also mention that it was working today, remained without battery and then this happened. It also became quite hot ( i presume from it trying to boot itself). So basically I recieved an email from Microsoft about a suspicious activity, and when I checked on sign-ins I saw quite a few successful logins for my account with locations being in Vietnam, China, and Ecuador. I live in the US, so these location are indeed quite strange. But what really worries me is the “successfully sign-in”. What does this mean? A year ago I used a flashdrive to download some songs to play on a speaker for a school event, and now I want to reuse it so I deleted the songs on the drive from my computer and downloaded some new songs, but when I put the drive in the speakers, it plays both the old and new songs, but on my computer it's showing that the old songs are deleted. They gave me a defective device that had a severe screen flickering problem after the device was turned on for more than 30 mins. It was completely unusable as a computer. I had zero recourse to fix the problem at this point. It was a known issue. They gave me a broken device, they knew it had the issue. They refused to fix it after they did it because I was no longer covered by warranty.
