“We survived it. It went right over our house. The path was right here,” Greg said.  The Winchester, Indiana, resident broke down in sobs as he spoke with chaplains about the traumatizing EF-3 tornado that tore through his home on March 14. The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) offered God’s comfort to Winchester residents, and reminded them that He is “a very present help in time of trouble” (Psalm 46:1, ESV). Seventeen-year-old Anna* stood among hundreds of people near the front stage of the TAURON Arena Kraków. Two years ago, Anna had fled with her family to Warsaw from Ukraine after the war began with Russia. “In Poland, there are many people who have run from other places to come here,” said Franklin Graham during his Gospel message that touched Anna’s heart. By the end of the night, she had responded to Franklin Graham’s invitation to receive Jesus Christ in repentance and faith into her life at the God Loves You Tour (Bóg Cię Kocha). “She didn’t want to share with me,” said prayer volunteer Mo ..read more

The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains are deploying to Slidell, Louisiana—just north of New Orleans—where a tornado caused widespread damage on Wednesday. “We haven’t seen this much damage since Hurricane Katrina,” Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer said. The powerful EF-1 storm knocked out power for nearly 45,000 people statewide and left a trail of severely-damaged buildings, downed power lines, and toppled trees. “I’ve never talked to God so much before in my life,” said one resident who survived the storm. Crisis-trained chaplains will provide emotional and spiritual care to those ..read more

On April 25, 1974, plans for a Billy Graham Crusade in Portugal came to a halt due to the Carnation Revolution. The coup ended a dictatorship and brought the country greater civil liberties. But in the turbulent aftermath, the outreach was canceled. Although Mr. Graham never preached in Portugal, he shared the Gospel throughout the country in December 2011 through a home-based film project called My Hope with Billy Graham. Seven years later, Franklin Graham picked up where his father left off, holding the Festival of Hope in Lisbon, where more than 14,000 people heard the Good News with hundre ..read more

Do We Really Need More?

The world constantly tells us that we need more—but do we really? On the third installment of her Fearless podcast series “The Lies of I’s,” Cissie Graham Lynch calls out the danger of “I Need.” “Why is this a problem?” she asked. “When we confuse a want with a need, we’re always left dissatisfied,” Cissie said. “Ironically, as one of the richest nations in the world, we are one of the least content.” Only Jesus Christ can truly satisfy the human soul—and He can cultivate in us a thankful heart, she added. “The real question is, do you believe that God sees you and that He will truly provide ..read more

This month’s God Loves You Tour in Kraków is just under two weeks away, but the power of the Gospel is already changing lives through the outreach. Kalena*, a teen from Ukraine who lives in Poland, heard about the tour and signed up for a free evangelism class during preparations for the event. The young woman invited her parents, who were not Christ followers, to come along. They were some of the 3,000-plus people from across Poland who completed the Christian Life and Witness Course. The practical training equips Christians to live out their faith in Jesus Christ and share it with others. He ..read more
