The more I learn about Scientology the crazier it gets. It is so hard for me to believe that people can't easily see right through their bs. Everything they say seems so fictional, how do people religiously believe in this. I don't want to make any assumptions but could it be possible that members of Scientology who joined may have had deeper issues if this religion rids their ability to think realistically and if they are easily able to believe in this? Maybe it's just great propaganda and indoctrination that got them believing but could it be something deeper?

I'm glad that we as a society have collectively agreed that Scientology is crazy to the point where we won't even allow them to have their own subreddit to discuss their religion, I like that the Scientology subreddit is to talk about the negatives of Scientology.

They actually believe in aliens, when I first heard this I thought people were making it up to make them look bad or joking but turns out they actually believe in aliens and not just for fun but religiously believe in aliens.

My father was one of the OG Scientologists to join the Sea Project on board the Royal Scotman with Hana Eltringham as Captain. He reached OT7, at that time, the highest level, including all the Grades. When LRon died he broke off with the Cult as he loathed David Miscavige and joined the Independent Scientologist groups. He recently passed and going through his things I've found copies of this letter shoved in drawers, in between books, basically all over the house. I just find it really interesting.

My sibling went past Scientology in Melbourne. She didn't realise it was COS straight away, a "staff wanted" sign was the first thing that caught her attention.
Found some volunteer positions on Seek Volunteer: https://www.volunteer.com.au/volunteering?organisationid=16768
So I guess my question is, is this a serious recruiting technique?
*edited to add "sign".
