Uncomfortable
Speaking of Polygamy…

To be uncomfortable is not always wrong! When someone learned that I live polygamy, I was told that “she” would never share a man and that it is disgusting. (Who “she” is does not matter, because more than one woman has told me that.) I’ve also been told, “I would never do that to my ..read more

Hearts of Women Versus Hearts of Men
Speaking of Polygamy…

If a man may have a plurality of wives, why may not a woman have a plurality of husbands?  Because a woman’s heart is so constituted, that it is impossible for her to cherish a sincere love for more than one husband at the same time.  It is even difficult for her to believe that ..read more

The Biological Imperative of Polygyny
Speaking of Polygamy…

If a woman is going to invest 9 months of pregnancy and (in a primitive setting) at least a year of breastfeeding into one of her children, she’s naturally going to want to be choosy as to who the father is. In a primitive setting, she would want or need the protection of a strong, capable man while she is especially vulnerable during pregnancy and postpartum, and she doesn’t want to (nor does it make sense to) spend that much of her life on the offspring of a loser. Her best chance at long-term genetic success is to have children with a beautiful, strong, intelligent man so they (her chil ..read more

Now, living plural marriage isn't for everyone, and not all will be called to live it. But I know and have testimony that we have been called to live this principle. For every family, how their family lives is all different. In some families, the wives will each have their own homes within the same areas, and in some, they will live in the same house. We are lucky enough to have a home at this time that accommodates that. We eac ..read more

My polygamous family has had a few opportunities to be on reality TV shows. Kody Brown even tried persuading us to have our own show, and listening to his reasons got me excited, but when we considered the drama and divisiveness that TV producers require (or create), we ultimately decided against it.  Because of this ..read more

Speaking of Polygamy…

I grew up in Los Angeles, California during the seventies and eighties. It was a wonderful time to be there. I could not have asked for a better childhood, even with the trials, struggles, triumphs, and successes. At 16 years of age, my father taught me about Isaiah 4:1. That was my first thought of ..read more
