Lessons from a BTS (Behind-the-Scenes) Expert

Here are my go to’s when it comes to shooting BTS. Look at the light, where is it coming from? Pay attention to where the Director or Photographer is shooting from. I love shooting from extreme angles whether it’s super low on the ground, like an ant, or super high angling my shot down as if I’m a bird flying above. I love getting detail shots. Seeing the texture of the Director’s hand as they hit the record button or the model as they move their hair behind their ear, or the dust coming off of a light. It all adds an up-close and personal, creative feeling to your shot. The post Lessons from ..read more

You know that feeling when you're writing a script, and you just can't figure out why some of your scenes suck? Gear Review – Fujifilm GFX 50sii

The Fujifilm GFX 50sii is a medium format digital camera that features a 51.4mp sensor, an in- body image stabilization system, and a magnesium alloy body that makes it both weather resistant and one of the world’s lightest medium format cameras. The size of the sensor combined with Fujifilm’s long history of dazzling color science helps create images that are seemingly 3D and vibrant. Perhaps with the one exception being fast-paced sports, this camera would be ideal for any shooting situation. Have you ever walked down the street and admired a person’s jacket, their jeans or even something as simple as the way they walk with confidence? Style is all around us, it’s embedded in our daily lives and hides in our subconscious. For example we don’t know why some things are cool or why they make us feel a certain way, it’s just something we feel. The post Crafting Your Style appeared first on Blog by BorrowLenses ..read more
