I'm looking for something compact, easy to carry around daily, good for a beginner (mainly shoot in auto), and preferably under $600... I have the iphone 15 pro but HATE how all the pictures turn out rip. Also have a busted up Olympus Stylus 9000 that I love but I'm looking for higher image quality Not sure if this helps but I'm not huge on landscape photography-- I want to capture memories of my friends and family! I've been looking at the Sony RX100, which seems promising, but honestly don't know what else is out there and am getting overwhelmed by the options and models. Would love some re ..read more

I have recently been searching for a used camera somewhere under $600 (maybe under $800 depending on quality) I really love the way the Sony a6400 looks. I'm wanting something that kind of looks like that if possible. I am wanting - flash - mirrorless camera - viewfinder - articulate screen (so I can take pictures of myself and see them while doing so) - preferably 4K - at least a 24 megapixel camera - possibly weather sealed Any recommendations help. Thank you in advance! submitted by /u/Questioning_Girl3 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is this legit, and why is it nearly 1k cheaper on this website than others? https://www.e-infin.com/eu/item/11004/sony_fx3_full-frame_cinema_line_camera_(ilme-fx3)?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_qexBhCoARIsAFgBles4ON7H8TNN6NqKFu1d1j5qa3hJkCeAiwKf5hk3rHJZKgAb8QLHoxIaAvmSEALw_wcB submitted by /u/Beautiful_Cable_7878 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Lens support solutions

I just received my Laowa Nanomorph 50-100mm zoom lens. Very nice! But also, pretty heavy (1.5 kg) and fairly long. I am using it on my Panasonic S1H and I think it's a good idea so use some kind of lens support. When I have the lens mounted and slightly push on it, I can see the mount move as well... I do mostly 'run and gun' stuff (weddings) so I need something lightweight and compact so that handheld shooting is still an option. Don't really want to have a fully kitted out cage with rods and everything. Is there any other solution? Maybe a very long 'baseplate' with something added on there ..read more

A6700 vs fx30

Hi I'm 21, currently taking a master degree in audiovisual and, last year, I started recording some events with my M50 with the kit lens and an a7ii, owned by a friend. As you can see, I'm a beginner in videography and I don't know what camera would be the best for me. I want to keep doing photography as a hobby so thats why I'm considering the a6700 but I also want to invest more in videography. Idk if this helps but I would rig either one. Hope you can help me! Edit: btw, would the fx30 be good for photography as a hobby? submitted by /u/RodrigoCG2 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello! Brand new to photography and looking for my first camera. Looking to capture memories of my wife and children. My wife has a rebel T5i but I want something for myself that’s smaller and easier to bring along for family adventures. I want really good portraits with good bokeh as priority one and lifestyle photos as priority 2. Budget is an all in cost under ~350 The A5000 and E-PL6 have both caught my attention as affordable options with good image quality… I like the M43 platform being cheaper for lenses, but am wondering if the higher MP count on the A5000 is worth it? I appreciate an ..read more

I’ve always wanted to be a photographer and I think Im ready to be serious about it. I’m a college student in Texas and I am currently witnessing what I think are genuinely historic events that I would like to capture and share. I’m looking for a good camera that’s around/under 2,000$, and maybe one that I can get other attachments for. I’m going to be moving a lot and I am prepared to be close to conflict as well. Any advice and recommendations would be awesome! submitted by /u/krazyjjo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
