Magical Wedding in Umeå, Sweden I love photographing Weddings, and this Wedding was just magical through and through. Every detail thought out and set in the most beautiful place; the bride and grooms home. The couple spent the morning doing all the preparations and getting dressed at their friends home, who also happen to be their very close neighbours. This beautiful mama is an inspiration to all us working mamas on how to juggle career and kids. Not only is Elaine a mother to three gorgeous boys, she is also a doctor, an entrepreneur and the co-founder of Trehaus co-working space here in Singapore. I had the opportunity to photograph the stunning Alicia Thew (Alicia Pan) and her little Koda for Sassy Mama Singapore. Alicia runs Yoga Movement together with her husband, and she is also a talented singer-songwriter. For me this was one of those days when it’s full speed ahead all day long, and in the middle of it all I got to spend a couple of hours with these two wonderful people. This summer i did a photo shoot for Sassy Mama with Shan Wee, DJ for Singapore radio Kiss 92FM and author of “99 Rules for New Dads”, and his two gorgeous boys. We spent a hot afternoon in the Botanical Gardens, with Shan and the kids playing around and me crouched behind the camera, sweating buckets in the humidity. One summer evening in Swedish Lapland. In the woods, up on a mountain, where the traces of the sea and the inland ice from the Ice Age still remains. We hiked up and shot two series of photos right before and after 10pm. Before, light photos with the sun still reaching above the treetops. After, darker moodier photos in the blue hour that never turns dark in Swedish Lapland in August.
