The Optional Team at NGTC had it's highest team score of the season with a 111.525, good enough for 5th place out of 19 teams.  The championships were held March 19, 20, 21, 2016 at The Hoop in Salem, Oregon.  Many teams were present from all over the State, but only 19 had enough gymnasts to form a complete Optional Level 6 Team.   Individual highlights included: Meagan    2nd Place on Uneven Bars, 4th on Vault and Balance Beam, 2nd Place All-Around (37.475) Allee        2nd Place on Balance Beam, 4th Place All-Around (36.750) Claire       2nd Place on Uneven Bars (36.575 ..read more

NGTC Level 3 Team Moves to 41st Nationally!

Northwest Gymnastics Training Center is proud to announce that the Level 3 Compulsory Team set the bar as the highest ranked Team in the Northwest, based upon the ranking of the top 100 team scores nationally as of 11/22/2016. Congratulations to the NGTC Level 3 and Level 4 Junior Olympic Compulsory Teams for their sixth straight win this season!  All levels are coming off impressive performances at the Harvest Invitational.  And while the 2's, 3's and 4's all scored wins these past meets, none was more impressive than the performance turned in by the Level 3 Team this past weekend. NGTC recently traveled to Chicago, Il for the Chicago style meet. With over 4,200 gymnasts this is the world’s largest meet. And they won. We sent 2 teams, Level 6 and Level 3, both short handed teams managed to pull out the upset victories over teams from around the world. Both levels have remained undefeated over the last 3 seasons. However, the biggest win was the team bonding with the gymnasts and their families. Many families went to enjoy the meet and the city of Chicago. This past weekend our athletes competed at the Charity Choice Invitational in Tacoma, WA. Over 2,400 athletes attended this competition, representing 74 Clubs and 3 different countries! Level 2 Compulsory Team Highlights: Our #Tinybutmighty team of six took 1st Place by over two points! Individually; Reagan placed 1st UB, FX and AA and 2nd V and BB.
