TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team had nine student-athletes earn All-ACC Academic honors as Vic Allen, Alice Amendola, Anna Arkadianou, Millie Bissett, Olympe Lancelot, Kristyna Lavickova, Kianah Motosono, Ellie Schoppe, and Mila Saric made the All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced Wednesday. The Seminoles earned a 3.69 grade-point average in the 2022-2023 academic year and a program high 3.77 spring semester GPA. TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team has been selected as the No. 2 seed in the Texas region for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend. Florida State will face No. 3 seed SMU in the opening round. The winner will face either No. 1 seed Texas or No. 4 seed Baylor in the single-elimination event. The 15th annual ITA Kickoff Weekend takes place January 26-29, 2024, at 15 various host sites across the nation. TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team boasts two individuals in the final ITA national singles rankings and one pair in the doubles rankings. Anna Arkadianou ended the spring season ranked 74th and Vic Allen is 89th in the national singles rankings. Freshman Millie Bissett and Arkadianou finished 70th in the national doubles rankings. Arkadianou was ranked in singles for 11 consecutive weeks and was as high as No. 52 in the nation. TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team ended the 2022-2023 season ranked 24th in the final ITA national rankings. Florida State appeared in the top-25 in three rankings, three of which came in the last four rankings of the season. The Seminoles saw a multitude of accomplishments in the 2023 spring season. ORLANDO – Florida State’s Anna Arkadianou dropped a three-set battle to Page Freeman of Notre Dame 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3 in the first round of the NCAA Singles Tournament on Monday. Arkadianou was the second alternate in the NCAA Singles Tournament and was officially added to the field Monday morning. The match began with Freeman taking the first set 6-1. Athens, Ga.– The No. 26 Florida State women’s tennis team (17-11) fell to No. 3 Georgia (24-4) 4-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Dan Magill Tennis Center on Saturday.
