LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Coe College women's tennis team battled in a non-conference road match but fell short, falling 5-2 to Lake Forest College. The Kohawks started well in doubles play, getting a victory at number three from Claudia Bilkey / Carlie Miller as the pair earned an 8-7 victory in a tiebreaker to earn a point for Coe. CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team knocked of Division II Truman State University on Sunday at Clark Racquet Center, defeating the visiting Bulldogs 6-3. Coe got off to an excellent start in doubles play, getting wins from the doubles pairings of Maddie Schultz / Sophia Fain and Maria Bello Escobar / Chloe Palmer. HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Coe College women's tennis team concluded its Spring Break trip last week, wrapping up a slate of four non-conference matches at the Spring Tennis Fest. CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team took one of two matches on Saturday at Clark Racquet Center, defeating Augustana 5-4 before falling 8-1 to Division I opponent Western Illinois. CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference released its all-sports trophy standings earlier this week following the completion of the fall seasons. Overall, Coe sits in sixth place in the overall team standings. The women, who earned 25.0 points this fall, are in a tie for sixth place with Luther and are just three points out of third place while the men earned 12.5 points and are in sixth place alone following the first season of the year.
