Trinity Baptist College Athletic Director, John D. Jones, announced that Zach Shank has been hired as the new head coach for the Eagles men’s basketball program. Jerry Brown and Donald Brady were named assistant coaches for the Washington State men’s basketball team, WSU Head Coach David Riley announced. Brown and Brady both coached with Riley last season at Eastern Washington, guiding the Eagles to the Big Sky Conference Championship.   Brown spent the last seven years working in college basketball after completing a playing career at Fresno State, Santa Clara, before a short professional career in Europe. It sounds like he informed his team of his departure in a meeting yesterday. Crafton has spent the past four seasons as the head coach at UMES, where he went 43-76 (.361), including a 9-20 (4-10 MEAC) record this past season. The Texas Southern University Board of Regents has approved a three-year contract extension for head men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones, Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Kevin Granger announced Friday.
