Anyone use extension tubes for macro? I’m having a difficult time figuring them out. It seems like the subject has to be touching the lens itself for the photos to be as macro as the reverse lens. This makes the lighting extremely difficult since the lens covers any lighting if I’m photographing it from above or from the side.
I’ve seen a ton of people say they’re better for macro?

Hi guys.
Could you recommend a (much) cheaper version of this diffusor?

I was going to get a used, sigma 105mm for my d7200 (157mm equivilwnt fov) but heard a lot about 2x magnification lenses for macro, like Laowa. I don’t want to spend much more than the 200 pounds on the sigma but wondered if there were any good 2x lenses Ty!
