Welcome to our series Golfers We Love. Where we interview women who love the game of golf. Whether they play professionally, work in the industry or just love to play occasionally, we want to share their stories with you!   Hailey! Thank you so much for interviewing with us, we’re so excited. Let’s jump right in! So to start off, when did you start playing golf and how did you get into it? I started playing competitive golf when I was nine. My dad got me into the game at a really young age, taking me to the course with him and teaching me the short game. Then he took over a junior golf ..read more

So for National Donut Day on June 1st, I really wanted to do something. I absolutely love donuts. Usually I go for my classic, the cake donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. But this time was different! My husband suggested we go on a self-guided donut tour around Los Angeles. How could I turn that down? So we made a list of places we always wanted to go and set off on a Saturday morning to try out some of the best donuts in Los Angeles. First up…Trejos Coffee & Donuts! Trejo’s Tacos are some of my favorite tacos so of course I’ve wanted to try the donuts when he opened up the Trejo ..read more

We’ve all seen it, a professional golfer withdraws because of some injury prior to the upcoming tournament. Anna and I have both had to withdraw from a tournament because of an injury. Why not just play through it? What’s the point that you call it? Of course that it’s all personal and relative to each person’s pain threshold and what a physician may say. But I wanted to talk about a few of the times I did withdraw and why, and a couple times I was golfing through the pain. What brought this blog post on? It’s hard not to talk about Tony Finau’s ankle dislocating during the Master’s Par 3 Cont ..read more

Partial Status Fun; the Waiting Game
Graceful Golfer Blog

We get the question a lot, “So what tours do you play on?” Well, it can be complicated. We usually reply with the fact that we’re on two tours, the Cactus Tour and the Symetra Tour. It is a fact, we pay membership and have status on both tours. The Cactus Tour you just pay membership to and anyone can join. The Symetra Tour, you need to go through qualifying school in order to come out with status for the next year. The thing is…we don’t have full status on Symetra. We only made it so far in the qualifying school process and how we ended up in the field determines our status. Because of this ..read more

We all know these people. And if we don’t personally know them, we’ve definitely met them. So here are the 5 ways that you are being the worst golf partner. Try not to do them! 1. Unsolicited advice guy. I didn’t ask for any help, don’t want your help. Thank you. 2. The angry golfer. We’ve all been there but you’re just out playing with your buddies. Calm down. It’s just a game and you’re making it uncomfortable for everyone. 3. ‘I’m not normally this bad’ guy. Yeah, okay that’s fine. You don’t have to keep saying it. We don’t necessarily believe you but honestly, we don’t care ..read more

Diamondback Land Surveying Anniversary Tournament

Earlier in March, I had the great pleasure of participating in the Diamondback Land Surveying 10 year anniversary tournament in Las Vegas. Each year, they put on a tournament for all of their clients and employees as a thank you. And for the last 3 years, I’ve been lucky enough to be asked back as a pro hitting drives on a par 5. I met Trent Keenan, the owner of Diamondback Land Surveying, in 2016 during my first year as a professional golfer. I was paired with him and a good friend of his who is also an employee of DBLS Robert at a Shriners Pro-Am in Arizona before a Cactus Tour event. We cam ..read more

I recently got some new wedges from Callaway and the new Callaway Rogue driver. It’s always fun getting new clubs but then we have to get them fitted. At this point, we know too much to not! So I thought that I would share what we did during my club fitting to get my clubs ready to compete with. During my club fitting with Kouros Logic, Kouros fitted brand new Callaway Mac Daddy 4 wedges to my wedge stats including weight. He checked all my irons that we haven’t switched, pitching wedge through 5-iron, to make sure that they are still at my loft and lie numbers. And last, we went through some ..read more

The last week of February was one of the larger mini tour events of the year at Wildfire Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. A lot of ladies use this event as their starter event. And quite a few use this is prep before the LPGA Monday Qualifier and subsequent Founder Cup Tournament. The LPGA event only taking place 2 weeks following the Cactus Tour event. Last year, I chose to use this as my starter event and for me it didn’t work out so well. So this year I played 3 events leading up to this one. You can read about my update from those events here.
