As a photographer, one of my favourite parts of the wedding day is photographing the special connection between mother and daughter. The wedding day is when a mother recognizes that their daughter is fully capable of organizing a large event and is able to successfully incorporate long standing family traditions along with modern unique ideas while still respectfully representing her family at this event. This is the moment that every mother realizes they are no longer in control of their daughters lives and have to trust that they will be ok without them. Roop and Andrew got married at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, BC. The weather kept everyone on their toes all day but finally the rain cleared for a quick outdoor ceremony on top of the mountain. The following day Roop and Andrew had their wedding reception in Surrey at the Dhiwali Banquet Hall.  Photos can be found here!  Roop and Andrew first met at the same program at school. As the first wedding ever at the newly built Killarney Mountain Lodge in Northern Ontario, James and Jen didn’t have any reference for what their wedding would be like, but thanks to the hard work of all the wonderful staff and organization from the bride, groom and family it was better than anyone expected!
