An engagement session is a vital part of the entire process. During your engagement session, you’ll get the chance to know me, experience how I handle posing and lighting. Every romance has to begin somewhere, and your engagement photos will show your family and friends the first chapter in your love story. Your engagement session can be scheduled anytime before your wedding day. I suggest booking it at least 3-6 months prior to ceremony. Weeknights are best between 4-7 depending on the time of year. In the winter, 12-3 is a normal time frame for the shoot. The place where you first met ..read more

It’s been sooo long since I have done a blog post. In fact, I haven’t blogged any of my 2020 weddings. I guess you can call me lazy or distracted. But, whatever the reason, I need to be more on the ball. So hopefully, you will see me posting more. Looking at these photos gets me into wedding mode. I have 25 scheduled this year but I have a feeling some of them will be postponed due to the damn pandemic. It’s so hard for people on the west coast to come home and it sucks so bad. All people want to do is get married and  it’s a shame they have to put that on hold. Taylor & Tyler’s weddi ..read more

Bookings are coming in for family sessions as things are starting to open up. This is a family I photographed in Fall 2019. They are from Texas but spent some time living in Cape Breton for Dad’s job. They love the island so much that they wanted photos to commemorate their time here. There’s one more daughter but she was back in Texas with her family. Message Me if you’d like to book ..read more

Lorne & Deneca – Cape Breton 2019

This had to be one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever photographed. Lorne & Deneca just wanted everyone to have a good time. The ceremony was small and intimate with only close family and friends in attendance. It was perfect. I have to say that Lorne was probably top 5 for nervous grooms I’ve met. He was so worried that everything be perfect for Deneca that he worked himself up into a nervous frenzy. But this made for such a fun, crazy ceremony that the whole audience enjoyed. Definitely not your typical ceremony and for that reason I loved it. Deneca having her daughters play guita ..read more

During these difficult times, I debated whether or not it was a good time to be sharing happy wedding photos. Should I just be focused on reading the depressing news as I have no actual work to do at this moment? Creativity is where I  thrive and all of that is on hold at the moment.  I still want to feel like my work matters though,  so I will continue to share. It’s what makes me feel good and hopefully it can put a smile on someone else’s face as well. So here is Naomie & Chantelle’s beautiful wedding. I’ve known these ladies for a little while now and when they asked me to photograph t ..read more

Michael & Meagan – 2020

Michael & Meagan were married in beautiful Ingonish. I always wondered what that little white stone church looked like inside and now I know. Such a magical place. Meagan’s parent’s live in Ingonish and run a small restaurant there. So of course, Dad wanted to cater the whole thing. The girls got ready and had amazing homemade waffles fresh from the kitchen. The meal at the dinner was over the top delicious. Living on the beach makes for some stunning photos and luckily, the whole wedding party didn’t mind kicking off their shoes and posing in the sand. Congratulations guys on your new mar ..read more
