Not everyone can appreciate what happens in nature but I felt very fortunate to get this set of photos last evening.  Mom found her kids and they were hungry as usual.  The way this bunny disappeared, I would say they think rabbits are delish!  (Oh , a lot of local gardeners might appreciate owls even more when they see this 16 slide show presentation)   ..read more

Above ... Baby Barred Owl cries and cringes when an angry flock of crows gathers above! Mom to the rescue ... First she chases away the crows then she lands beside the owlet and consoles the little fuzzy elf!  ..read more

After a couple hours watching the pair of young Barred Owlets, we were packing up to leave in the near darkness and Momma Owl shows up.  No food drop but cuddle time with the baby that got hammered earlier in the day by a crow. ​ These are high ISO shots take at a slow shutter speed  (in near darkness) but I felt they told a lovely story of bonding and affection between Mom and baby.                    Dinner was awesome but maybe that 3rd dessert was overkill                   &nbs ..read more

Baby owl 1 in contrasty light Last of 4 baby owls found Here's Mom! Whatever u do ..... Don't mess with Dad!!!!!
