~ Marylebone Old Town Hall will always be one of my favourite wedding venues in London. With its iconic pillars it is a beautiful backdrop whatever the weather. Ahead of their move to America Claire and Ben were keen to have their micro wedding celebration before the end of the year and this was my last wedding of the year towards the end of December. Claire opted for an elegant jumpsuit from Flora with chunky red heels and bold costume jewellery. I captured their arrival at the Town Hall through to portraits before they headed off for an intimate lunch reception ..read more

Like many couples at the moment, plans are being shifted as restrictions change on a regular basis making it almost impossible to plan anything. Sophie and Alistair were due to get married in August but had to move to September and it was during the short window when up to 30 guests were allowed. It was a Sunday afternoon, gloriously sunny, and quiet at the town hall as only one wedding is taking place at a time at the moment. There are some restrictions but the air of triumph in managing to have a ceremony during these times seems to be strong! Sophie looked so fabulous in a gold dress and b ..read more

The 2020 wedding season hasn’t been what we were expecting. With a full diary of weddings lined up for me to photograph in March, almost every single wedding has now postponed to next year. With an empty diary I have been clear to take on last minute bookings. Couples who have maybe had to downsize from earlier in the year because they were unable to have the celebration that they initially planned but for personal reasons were still keen to go ahead, despite the restrictions, couples who didn’t want to have to wait until a busy season next year, or even some couples who were probably ..read more

Bermuda Wedding Photography at The Reefs | Theresa & Linton

Wedding photography in Bermuda I’m used to globetrotting to cover weddings and events for my couples and clients but usually within Europe so I was thrilled to hear Fromm Theresa asking if I would travel to Bermuda to shoot her wedding last summer. Both Theresa and Linton live on Bermuda and the resort they had chosen to host their wedding was very familiar to them. The Reefs is perched up on a cliff overlooking the private beach. It feels intimate and private and the service was a step up from what I’m used to in Europe. By the second day staff were calling me by my name. The Reefs has ..read more

Wedding photography at Fulham Palace As less than half of my wedding photography work take place in London it’s always a treat to be able to just hop on public transport and head across the city to a relatively local wedding to a venue such as Fulham Palace. As is usual for my brides, Zara was getting ready with her bridesmaid and parents at her family home in Fulham, only minutes walk from the local church - All Saints in Fulham. Whilst I covered the bridal preparations, my second photographer Soven headed to meet Alex and the guys at a restaurant on the Kings Road for the ushers breakfast. Z ..read more

Getting married in Hampshire It’s always a pleasure to work with professional event planners and I can’t recommend Liz at Liz & Zie highly enough. I have worked with her on private parties through my event photography agency, Raccoon London and this was the first wedding that we had worked on together. She works with a small team of creatives to organise high end events, weddings and parties with a unique and personal touch and she is a dream to work with - calm and relaxed - just what you need at a potentially high pressure gathering like a wedding!   NATURAL, UNPOSED, FAMILY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY One of my favourite aspects of wedding photography is the connections I make with couples and families that lead me to continue to be a part of their lives as their families grow meaning that I get to witness and document pregnancies, new borns, children’s birthday parties and regular family shoots. Time passes so fast when children are small and the changes over a year can be huge. Regular photo sessions can capture some of that magic for a priceless record of these early years and moments that can easily be forgotten in the hectic pace of ..read more

Getting married at Sunbeam Studios Although I love to travel and it’s a treat to get to shoot a wedding abroad my heart and home is in London and there is nothing nicer than jumping on the tube across town to join a local wedding celebration. I’d worked professionally at Sunbeam before for commercial shoots - it’s original purposes - but it now offers a quirky, modern and spacious backdrop for weddings. Hannah and James are both in creative industries and were looking for the opportunity to work with a blank canvas to create their own contemporary style using floral design. With Sunbeam ..read more
