After another epic year/decade we want to send out a big thank you to all the people we have worked with over the last 10 years : we’re so grateful to have been given the opportunity to document so many stories, see parts of the world we never dreamed of seeing and worked with some organisations really close to our heart. Filming for a new Channel 4 show called “Britain On The Couch” on Brighton seafront. We spent a beautiful morning filming by Brighton pier at low tide. One of those days where all the elements align and everything goes your way. We collaborated with Brighton Based 23 Digital to experiment with some light painting with drones. Shooting after dark up on the South Downs, we used an old ruined building as the centre point for the shot. We are really pleased with the outcome of the shoot and it was great to work on such experimental shots with another Brighton based drone company. At DoubleXAir we love a bit of drone long exposure photography and enjoyed the challenge of not only flying the drone in total darkness but also flying 2 drones together in the pitch black. We collaborated with menswear fashion blogger, David Joseph and the Chanel mens fragrance team to create a short film for the mens fragrance, Bleu de Chanel.  We shot at low tide down past Brighton Marina and the water was COLD!  We worked with David to create a shot list that would accentuate the feeling of going… into the blue.  We are really pleased with the outcome of the shoot and was great to work with such creative vision whilst film making. Following a super successful trip to street art festival The Crystal Ship, and a brief stop off in Brussels, our crew carried on to Paris.  Over 3 days we hit up all the areas and explored some neighbourhoods on the outskirts of the city we’d never been to before which were awesome. We saw the Eiffel Tower (obvs), Moulin Rouge and loved checking out the Artists Yard in Montmartre :  seeing the new street art additions in all the neighbourhoods was just awesome. We were super lucky to be invited to The Crystal Ship Oostende last week to see some awesome artwork and meet some incredible street artists. For the fourth year, the organisers of The Crystal Ship invited some of the world’s most famous artists to make some seriously larger than life murals and mind blowing art installations.  The city of Ostend by the sea in Belgium is pure eye candy for any videographer or photographer :  with more than 50 permanent murals around the city, the world famous artists created murals, sculptures and interventions ( things that make you look twice… slig ..read more

We were asked by Bristol based artist Duncan McKellar to film a live art installation on the cliffs of Brighton … Saltdean to be precise.  The 400 + strong crowd all held mirrors and signalled an SOS to the EU in light of Brexit.  The footage was powerful and visually dazzling.  And for the first time ever, we got to work with another drone crew – Josh from Aerial Sussex.  Between him and DOUBLEXAIR we got some incredible shots and were featured that evening on BBC News.  A fantastic turnout and great to work once again on a project we believed in.  Check out Dunc ..read more

DOUBLEXAIR are back to Brighton with a BANG.  2019 has been a trip so far.  We’ve spent 5 weeks documentary filming in India and are excited to share with you our footage over the coming months. This January we travelled out to Rajasthan to document Vegan Cycle India for the awesome charity, that is Veganuary.  We were there to film the 28 strong team as they cycled 400km from Agra to Jaipur.  People assembled in New Delhi for the ride from all corners of the globe… Spain, Canada, Korea, New Zealand and from all over the UK.  The ride was epic and it was a pleasure to be part of the team.  The ultimate challenge with the most incredible bunch of people : awesome locals and the boys at Kalypso Adventures who without their knowledge and encouragement, most of us wou ..read more
