Alex Smithies explains how AI can still be leveraged as an excellent tool for creating quality content — and how you use it to write at scale while preserving the human touch.
When I first joined Bring Digital in September 2022, artificial intelligence (AI) was only just coming onto the scene, and it wasn’t something I used day-to-day.
Only a year and a half later, AI is revolutionising the digital marketing industry, especially when it comes to content creation. According to Statista’s 2024 report, over 80% of digital marketers worldwide use some form of artificial intelligence in their ..read more

Google’s Spam update creates a different kind of March Madness
Google’s latest Spam update finished rolling out as of 20th March. The second part of this update, which Google says targets sites “abusing authority”, begins rollout on 5th May.
Alongside this, the March 2024 core update is still rolling out. Google did caveat this update by saying it may take up ..read more

How to Run Omnichannel Marketing Campaigns That Convert: A Step-by-step Guide
One of the best — and also trickiest — things about working in marketing is that it constantly evolves alongside consumer behaviour.
These days, we’re far more likely to use multiple devices simultaneously, with 40% of adults in the UK starting an activity on one device and finishing on another. It makes sense that modern marketing campaigns must expand to cover new channels.
But when you plan channel activity in silos, the result can feel disjointed and confusing to consumers. It also makes measurement and tes ..read more

Paid Social Manager Andrea Manouchou explains what you need to know about Meta’s Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns (ASC) and breaks down some common myths about this piece of tech.
The paid social landscape is changing fast, but there’s one thing that remains constant: Meta’s dominance within it.
With the highest projected ad revenue in social media companies and only second highest after Google in internet companies according to Statista’s forecasts of 2023-2027, it’s no surprise that Meta would try to leverage AI and machine learning to further improve its offering.
Hence in the summ ..read more

Bring Digital’s SEO Director, Michael Scowcroft, explains why building solid relationships with your developers is essential when embarking on SEO projects — and how you can craft briefs that help them do their best work.
When I was growing up, I remember my teachers always saying to me: “Developers make the web go round.”
Well, they didn’t really say that, but they probably should have done — because it’s true. Without developers, those successful eCommerce websites would fall into disrepair or wouldn’t even be built in the first place.
Yet developers are too often an afterthought on b ..read more

Bring Digital’s Siobhan Congreve explains why AI is becoming an essential part of the PR process — and what you can do to level-up your campaigns using AI today.
Not a day goes by that we don’t see AI mentioned in the news. Whether it is Google Maps getting ‘supercharged’ with generative AI or a breakdown of the AI trends shaping the Marketing industry in 2024, it has quickly become a topic hard to ignore.
It’s hardly a new topic: other industries are simply catching up with what marketers have been saying for years. A study from Demandbase in 2016 revealed that 80% of marketers considere ..read more

Learn how The Pools, home of football pool betting, landed a jackpot against the odds with Bring Digital’s Paid Social strategy — and why they’re continuing to place their bets on the agency.
The Challenge
As an established betting brand with a long heritage, The Pools wanted to focus on attracting new customers to play its online games.
While they were prepared to utilise all channels to achieve that, early tests in 2023 showed that advertising on Facebook and Instagram promised greater scalability in the long term than other digital channels.
Spotting a key growth opportunity, the P ..read more

The news is out: Google’s Core Web Vitals is getting a new metric. It’s called INP (Interaction to Next Paint) and it’s set to replace the existing FID (First Input Delay) metric in a matter of weeks from now. Or, at least, we think so: Google has cited a release sometime in March 2024.
Integrating the INP metric into Google’s Core Web Vitals represents a shift in how website performance is assessed, focusing on user interaction and responsiveness. Google Search Console has already started collecting INP metric data to help us prepare for the upcoming Core Web Vitals assessment changes ..read more
