Hey there, beautiful! Are you ready to tap into the power of positive thinking and a can-do attitude? Buckle up, because we’re about to dive into how a positive mindset and can transform your life. First off, let’s talk about why positive thinking is so important. It’s all about focusing on the good in life, rather than dwelling on the negative. Yup, it sounds new age and silly so bear with me here. Recently my husband reminded me of a book he r ..read more

Are Gallery Walls Out of Style?

In Defense of Gallery Walls. As someone who is trying to make her house a home on a pretty fixed budget (shoutout to Tampa for being 2022’s hottest housing market) I have to balance buying new things with using what décor I already have. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a fan of gallery walls for quite some time (eight years and three houses, to be exact) but I’m not sure I ever appreciated them fully until now. The gallery wall from our previous home. Are Gallery Walls Out of Style? Let’s break it down. Blank walls are daunting and art is expensive. I’ve found that over the years I’ve collect ..read more

My Fitness and Nutrition Goals and Why I’m Starting 75Hard

Why I’m Already Setting Goals for Next Year I recently shared my review of the Amazon Halo Fitness Band compared to the Apple Watch for overall health, wellness, and fitness tracking. Regardless of which device is better or more effective, I actually have a goal in mind that doesn’t include either of them. I’d still like to spend 2022 continuing to figure out what works best for me from both a fitness and nutrition standpoint. However by the time 2023 rolls around I’d like to be so consistent in my routine that tracking my diet, workouts, and steps taken just won’t be necessary. Why Tracking M ..read more

How I’ve Made More Than $7,500 on Poshmark

My Tips for Using Poshmark to Make Money As someone who loves shopping a little too much, at several points in my life I have found myself quite literally with a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. I’m particularly frugal so for quite some time I struggled with the idea of purging my closet. Once I realized I could make money by reselling my gently worn (or in some cases new with tags) clothing, shoes, and accessories I quickly jumped aboard the online resale train. When I first started reselling my clothes online I primarily used ThredUp and eBay but in recent years I’ve found Poshmar ..read more

The 4 Things On Our 2022 Project List

All of the updates and upgrades we’re planning to make to our new home in 2022. Since we somehow made it through 2021 (is anyone else still recovering?) I thought we’d share all of the updates and upgrades we’re planning to make to our new home in 2022. I am so incredibly thankful we found our home in Tampa somewhat easily. After finally narrowing in on South Tampa as our desired location we fell in love with our house because of it’s neighborhood and school district, layout, and potential. Despite having high end finishing’s and an open floorplan that worked for us our home definitely featur ..read more

What We’re Eating This Week

It’s finally cold here in South Florida, which means the daytime temperatures are in the 50’s and 60’s. This week I’m planning on comfort foods but trying to keep it healthy. I’ll try to share more on Instagram stories as I’m preparing each of these meals throughout the week! MONDAY: Chicken Enchiladas. We have a bunch of chicken breasts so I’ll prepare those in the crockpot, but typically I’ll use a Rotisserie Chicken for the enchilada filling. I mix the prepared chicken with onions, cheese, and enchilada sauce but you can use whatever you’d like! TUESDAY: Grilled Cheese and Tomato ..read more

The Dress I Can’t Stop Wearing

In an interesting (but certainly not shocking) turn of events, after moving from Michigan to Florida my closet has required a *complete* overhaul. It’s somewhat surprising how being in a new location can impact your style and having been in Tampa for six months now I feel like I’m fairly confident in dressing for my new environment (and having fun doing so!). Shortly before we moved I purchased my first Outdoor Voices Exercise Dress after seeing it featured on Amelia Styles several times. I never thought an exercise dress quite fit my style (I don’t play tennis or belong to a country club, Y ..read more

The Amazon Halo Band vs. The Apple Watch

A few months ago I shared with Ken that I was beginning to get frustrated with my Apple Watch. The device that I wore daily was starting to annoy me and make me feel like I couldn’t unplug, which is interesting because that was one of the reasons that I initially liked it. When I got my Apple Watch in December of 2019 I loved that enabled me to step away from my phone without feeling like I’d miss something. But a few months and a pandemic later, I was never really far from my phone and now I was also constantly being pinged by my watch every time I sat down for too long or didn’t close my mo ..read more

My Kids Favorite (super easy!) Breakfast
Liz Braga | A Detroit lifestyle blog

On the first day of school last year Annabelle walked downstairs, dressed in her uniform, a bundle of nerves to start first grade at a *new* school (in a new state, no less) and stated, I’d like a fancy breakfast, please. If you know Annabelle this is so her. She lives for a celebratory moment and a fancy meal. Needing to think fast and being zero percent prepared I pulled together what I had on hand and it has become my kids very favorite breakfast. No need to grab a pen and paper for the ingredients, mama. I’m sure you already have everything you need to knock your kids socks off for any re ..read more
