PCDU at Highbury Nottinghamshire Healthcare plan to open a PCDU (Psychiatric Clinical Decisions Unit) in October at Highbury Hospital. The PCDU will be a place where people can stay for up to 48 hours for support and to decide whether they need an inpatient stay or can be supported in the community. A new name is needed for the building, can you think of any? It should be mindful of what we would like the new unit to be: • Hopeful • Positive • Person centred, supporting a Recovery focussed approach • It should empower people that go there and give choice • There should be a sense of pro ..read more

by Paul Sanguinazzi – Head of Involvement and Experience Paul’s job is to make sure the Trust listens to and works in partnership with our service users, patients, carers and members to shape and improve our services. Paul Sanguinazzi Caring for someone you love who is ill can be rewarding but in giving so much it can also be an experience that leaves you isolated, frustrated and unsure who to turn to.
