https://imgur.com/a/okvscUc we have had this RestorePlus Soft mattress for 6 weeks now. we use linen sheets. the top of the mattress is getting a pretty heavy amount of pilling. i am worried this will get worse, and possibly affect the warranty claims if we ever need to have this replace for caving in (a problem i read happens). i just ordered a purple-brand mattress protector, but one night with it and i really do not like it. it sounds and feels plastic-y thru the sheets, and seems to make the bed run hotter, and sort of reduces the comfort of the grid. any suggestions or experiences? subm ..read more

Casper Snow mattress smells like mold / sweaty socks?

Has anyone else experienced this?? I went to 2 mattress stores today and loved the feel of the Casper Snow mattress but in both shops the Casper mattress smelled like sweaty socks that didn't dry, or honestly kindof moldy I thought the first was a fluke and assumed it was poor maintenance of the stores floor model, but the second shop said it's been on their floor for maybe 6 months and it also smelled the same For reference I tried around 4 other mattressess in each store and I didn't sense the same thing on any others. They just smelled like varying degrees of new mattresses or slight latex ..read more

We currently sleep on a Firm Queen Size BeautyRest Recharge Pacific Series mattress we purchased in 2016 and still love! Last week we moved into a new home and now have room for a King Size bed. We’d like to purchase the equivalent of current mattress in the next size up - since the Recharge series no longer exists, what are our current options? submitted by /u/EB-Exploits [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Sleeping Hot, Trial & Error

Been browsing this subreddit a while looking at suggestions for hot sleepers. Spent the past few months testing out a bunch of cheap ways to adjust... Diet, sleep time, exercise, room temp, etc. But haven't yet had success so onto step two. I have an Endy box mattress (2017) with their 1" topper (memory foam), use a bamboo mattress protector and cotton sheets. For an idea, I'm a heavier guy, work out a lot, but have always slept hot, even when I was a scrawny boxer. Always a side sleeper. I've done some testing the last few nights to see where my heat is when I wake up, and found it all the w ..read more

Loft memory foam mattress uncomfortable but only on one side

I have a memory foam mattress and for some reason on the left side, its awful. Awful in the sense that it presses into my spleen and its to the point where i cant sleep on that side anymore. Im not even sure whats causing this. Ive tried putting my mattress on my hardwood floors to see if that would stiffen the mattress, which it did yet that exact same spot in the top left of mattress presses into my spleen and upper abdomen and its very uncomfortable. Also, another thing, I noticed that some of the corners of my mattress havent opened in a nice and square way. Its been 8 months since Ive ha ..read more

In need of suggestions for a mattress suitable for my very specific needs after several failures with Saatva

While very accommodating, Saatva has failed to provide me with anything other than extreme pain throughout my body and joints after suffering from years of chronic pain exacerbated by a spinal infection (Osteomyelitis) that chewed up some of the bones therein along with a back surgery which offered no relief. Only recently did I begin to experience a significant reduction in pain, until my physical therapist concerned over my mattress not offering proper support, recommended I purchase a Saatva Classic Hybrid Luxury Firm mattress, which even with the topper they sent (a real heat sink), I end ..read more

Debating…

Hey everyone, So I have a older hybrid mattress (not sure on brand) that’s nearing 6-8 years old, it’s sagging a considerable amount in certain areas and in these areas you can feel the coils/springs through the foam. Is it worth it to get a completely new mattress or just buy some toppers and see if that will help to eliminate the wear? I wouldn’t say it impacts my sleep quality as I sleep pretty good, as I mainly sleep on my stomach and only really feel the springs when I sleep on my side. I have some back pain sometimes but I’m not sure it’s due to the mattress but more along the lines of ..read more
