Former Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard could be making an effort to bring WNBA basketball back to the city. The WNBA is growing after it was announced that Toronto would receive a WNBA franchise, set to begin play in 2026. Toronto becomes the 14th WNBA franchise, joining the 12 current teams and Golden State, who will begin play next season. But the WNBA isn’t done.
