Development in Denver continues to move in bold new directions, and Dairy Block offers one of the latest examples of the new ways developers are approaching mixed use projects in an urban setting. Dairy Block stretches across a city block in LoDo, between 18th and 19th, Wazee and Blake. Applications are open for Denver Digs Trees, a program that has provided more than 50,000 free or discounted trees to Denver residents over the last 30 years.   Denver is losing lots of trees to the boom in construction, the fact that many of the trees in Denver were planted more than 100 years ago, and an astonishing 330,000 trees (1 in 6 in Denver!) are threatened by the Emerald Ash Borer, a non-native invasive beetle that has come to Colorado.
