This will be my second build. My first was in a 170ext so this one will definitely present some unique challenges!

I was looking for ways to save money on gas while living in a city, so far the list I've got is an e-bike mounted to the back, an electric skateboard or a 50cc motorbike.
While a 50cc motorbike is ideal as it likely won't get stolen and you have plenty of space to park, I would have to get a heavy-duty towbar fabricated which comes with its risks.
An e-bike would be great as it isn't heavy but I'm worried about theft and parking, my city is relatively biker-friendly but I know thieves keep their eye out for e-bikes.
A skateboard would also be nice because it's small but I would have to deal w ..read more

My brother and I are converting my 2023 Transit Custom and he’s trying to figure out where to run the wires out to an outside connector to occasionally use solar panels.
Is there a good location for an inside to outside port to install the connector? What have others done?

Hi all,
I've been searching everywhere for an answer to this. We bought a professional built van in Spain and it came with this gas connection for Spanish bottles. I've never seen a regulator/connector like this before. In Spain, it works very well: swap and go with two bottles.
But, now we're planning on driving to Scandinavia (and all of those countries along the way) for at least a year.
Is it possible to refill these Spanish bottles outside of Spain? Which connector set would we need to buy to refill the Spanish bottles?
The alternative is to fit an LPG system but Finland and Morocco ..read more

Hi everyone! I have what might be a simple question.
I bought a natures head composting toilet and the instructions obviously say to install the floor mounts the fan, however, I’m planning on having a wet bath and sitting the toilet in my shower pan, so having the electrical cord in the wall and bolts in the pan doesn’t feel great. I’ve seen a lot of van tours on YouTube where people literally pick their natures head up and move it out of their shower pan and it looks like they aren’t using the floor mounts or the fan / exhaust hose.
So…. Whats the verdict? Is it totally fine to skip the floo ..read more

As the title says. We arrived in Kingman last week, with the intent of slowly moving towards Sedona. We weren’t able to find BLM, State Land or campground parking in Kingman, Flagstaff, Sedona or Cottonwood. It is a complete madhouse. If you didn’t know, as we didn’t, Sedona really cracked down on their BLM land, there are set dispersed group campgrounds now and it feels like an outdoor concert, people double parking others and absolutely nowhere to park unless you snag a spot in the afternoon. Kingman is overrun with vagrant type campers, as is most of the state trust land in Cottonwood.

I have an extended 99 dodge that has the spare tire underneath the back held up by a cord- Son of a bitch snapped on me and sent my spare skidding down the road! Thank goodness nobody was behind me!
So I do have an appointment to have it looked at but here's my question:
What do you guys do for a spare? I've seen people with roof rack spares, wondering how people feel about that? Any other ways to keep a full wheel that I can't think of? Just looking for options cause now I'm terrified of having it underneath

I tried sandblasting and painting with Rustoleum primer and they rust much worse. What to paint or coat these with to get them to not seize up again? And look nice. I would have to use a screw driver to pry them open just to use them and stomp on them to flatten them out again.
