I just realized that in the previous update I forgot to mention a couple of things.
He also developed an interest in the moon and uses the iPad weather app to see the different phases of the moon. He gets a little bit sad when the night is cloudy, and the moon is not visible and asks: "where is my moon?". When he looks at it, he doesn't just say "moon". He says it along with the phase: "look! a [new/crescent/quarter/full] moon!". He hasn't yet used the words "waxing/waning" or "gibbous", but I am sure he will get grasp of that very soon. These are pictures of a sun halo taken during the eclipse on 4.8.24. 1st pic is early. 2nd picture is right before totality. 3rd picture is after totality.
Note in the second picture how the Halo seems off-center, but the Halo is centered around the uncovered portion of the Sun.

I know this has been asked before, but I could use some help if anyone has any to offer.
I live in eastern illinois, and there are predicted potential storms this weekend that could be severe. The mere idea of a potential severe storm coming is giving me anxiety, making me want to cancel my plans for this weekend.
Could any meteorologists be able to help tell me, no beating around the bush, what to expect this weekend? Will it be a weekend of severe storms? Some apps are saying no, some are saying maybe and some are saying yes.
