The No. 6-seed Texas Longhorns shocked the women’s college basketball world Sunday night with an upset of No. 2-seed Maryland 64-61, sending the Longhorns to their first Elite Eight appearance since 2016. The Terrapins entered the contest with a record of 26–2, averaging an astonishing 99 points per game in tournament play. They hadn’t lost a single game in two months. Around 28% of Texans have no plans to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, even though current vaccines are clinically safe, according to a February poll from UT and The Texas Tribune. On Tuesday, Texas announced all adults above the age of 16 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine starting Monday. UT-Austin faculty work with international institutions through Texas Global grants

Seven UT professors received grants as part of the Texas Global Virtual Exchange Initiative, which encourages faculty to collaborate with international institutions to allow their students to virtually engage with peers abroad. The Texas baseball team entered the bottom of the ninth inning during Sunday’s game needing two runs to sweep Oklahoma for the first time since 2014. Redshirt freshman infielder Trey Faltine stepped up to the plate with no room for error as Texas nursed two outs. Faltine struck out, effectively ending the Longhorns’ chances of a rally and sealing a 3-2 loss but winning the series overall. The lack of offensive production on Sunday was even more frustrating for the Longhorns considering the numerous chances they had to put runs on the board. Dressed in a gown adorned with glued-on sunflowers, a wig and seven-inch heels, Celia Light performed in drag for the first time at the Dobie City Limits Festival in 2018. Just seconds into her live performance, she fell off a picnic table. “I felt a lot of enthusiasm from the crowd,” said Light, a drag performer and the Dobie Twenty21 Student Spaces marketing director. “While I cringe at that moment, I also appreciate it.
