Hello all.
I am a rising fourth year at VCU studying exercise science/ kinesiology looking to pursue a career in PT. I was originally going to finish my four-year bachelor's degree in science and enter the workforce in cardiac rehab or possibly as an exercise physiologist. My dilemma is I am not sure if those jobs go further from there and make a substantial amount of money. Currently, I am debating on sucking it up and taking some pre-req classes for PT school and doing three years of grad school to hopefully become a physical therapist. I would appreciate some insight from anyone who went t ..read more

I’m trying to pivot into the performance science space as a quantitative analyst or biomechanist. Currently I have a bachelors in Data Science and my job has allowed me to partake in motion captures and standard data collection, but I want to do something more advanced. My supervisor suggested a masters in Biomedical Engineering but because of the prerequisites for BME I wouldn’t be able to start applying until I’ve finished taking a few courses at a community college. I don’t know if it’d be worth it to just start applying to Kinesiology masters programs or get the prerequisites and apply to ..read more

Im going into my fourth year in kinesiology undergrad, and my gpa is atrocious (2.5). I attend one of the top sports science schools in the world, but I completely messed up my first two years and now have an awful gpa. My goal was to go to PT school, but now im not sure that is even possible. Are there any decent jobs I can get with just the undergrad degree? or any way I could get into any PT school?
