Our first race of 2024 happened last Saturday April 20. Two weeks ago we had standing water on the field, fortunately it drained quite well. Dave Poland (last years Bronze Champion) mowed the field for the first time this year. The grass was about as nice as we have had the pleasure of racing on. We set up pylons on Friday and we got some practice the day before the race. Hi I'm Mark , I'm wanting to get back into this hobby . My last flight was back in the 60's , I had some of the plastic planes from Cox . I built some balsa kits , Lil' Satin is one I can recall . All of those planes I used the Cox .049 . I "graduated" to the Cox .15 , one kit I built was a profile stunter the other was a wing , kind of like the Lil' Satin . Wind RC now hand out this light controller, the most advantage for this controller is the max input is 4S and outputs with 12v, 5v, 3v, which would make your light, make your light bright enough. Back in November I started talking to and Ordered a BVM Bandit. The first one that arrived had shipping damage. BVM replaced it right away. They also went out of their way to make shipping the damaged one back a piece of cake. I met several BVM folks at the Tucson Jet rally a couple months later. They were awesome to talk to and buy goodies from. Recently had a small mishap with my Bandit and they have been super on getting me the right parts and other goodies I wanted. Swiwin turbines are fantastic but unfortunately, the stock telemetry doesn't include a feature to report fuel level. Because of this missing feature, I have developed a small Jeti Lua app to compute fuel usage based on pump voltage. The fuel usage is displayed in % and quantity. A switch can be assigned to trigger a voice announcement with remaining fuel %. This was developed for Swiwin turbines but can work with any turbine that has a pump voltage channel in its telemetry.
