Hello everyone! I've recently acquired a BMW iX and my garage is equipped with a NEMA 6-50 240V 50A outlet for car charging. However, the charger that came with my BMW only includes a NEMA 14-50 adapter, and the BMW 6-50 adapter I purchased doesn't fit properly. I'm wondering if it's both safe and practical to use a third-party adapter to connect the provided 14-50 plug to my 6-50 outlet. As another option, I'm considering buying a charging station that comes with a 6-50 plug. Yet, it seems that an adapter might be a more cost-effective and simpler solution. I have an Ioniq 6, which has an itty bitty frunk. I crammed in a level 1 charging cable and the first aid kit that comes with the car. I realized that I tend to forget about the frunk and am actually glad it barely exists because it allows the glove compartment to be super deep. My parents have a Model Y but they never really use their much more ample frunk. PHEV outlander High pitched Whine Hi all, curious what everyone’s else’s experience is with the PHEV outlander regarding engine sounds. My PHEV makes a very loud buzz/ high pitched Whine when driving, most annoying/ distracting sound ever. Typically it’s louder when driving up a hill, however a little more silent in EV mode, however still present. Just installed new Tesla gen 3 charger with J1772 connector. When I plug it in the light turns blue and says it’s connected but it sends no charge. I can’t figure out how to make it charge. Support said there might be a setting I need to change on the car. Couldn’t find anything in the dash screen. Is there an app?
