We had the most fun with our Fort Worth community at Near Southside’s Open Streets! Open Streets is a national movement with more than 90 documented initiatives in North America. Open streets events are increasingly common in cities seeking innovative ways to achieve environmental, social, economic, and public health goals by temporarily closing streets to automobile traffic, so that people may use them for walking, bicycling, and socializing. Near Southside Open Streets closes Magnolia Avenue and other adjacent streets to traffic and opens them up to cyclists, food trucks, dog-walkers ..read more

Live Printing in the Fort Worth Stockyards

Last Thursday we had the awesome opportunity to take our live print set up to our ole’ stomping grounds – the Fort Worth Stockyards! We love any event that allows us to be out in our community, so when we were presented with the opportunity to live print shirts for White Elephant Saloon’s reenactment of the legendary 1887 gunfight between Luke Short and Jim Courtright – we quickly said yes. On February 8, 1887, Short and Courtright duked it out in front of Fort Worth’s White Elephant Saloon, resulting in one of the most famous gunfights in western history. Fast forward to 2018, the re-enactm ..read more

Let’s Talk About Stealing Art

Hey everyone! I’d like to spend a couple minutes talking about something that’s been on my mind a lot recently. It’s something we deal with a lot here at Trust, and it’s something I’ve seen a lot of people in our industry completely ignore: stealing artwork. I know that many of you don’t do this, you are diligently creating artwork or paying someone to create it for you. I also know that many of the people I see misusing artwork have no idea that what they are doing is stealing. If you fall into that second category don’t stress, you’re not alone and today would be the perfect day to star ..read more

If you have stopped by the shop recently, you might have noticed that we did some remodeling. At the end of 2017 we undertook the large project of renovating and reimagining our office space, knocking down all of the walls and building a more expandable and collaborative workspace. As a way to celebrate & let everyone have a look-see, we opened our doors & threw Trust’s first ever Open House! Our shop was filled with family, friends (both old and new), and our amazing customers who had the opportunity to print their own shirt, take a tour of the shop, eat some delicious appetizers, s ..read more

Live Printing at Oh Sleeper Show

We had the special opportunity to end 2017 by Live Printing shirts for our friends, Oh Sleeper at their 10th anniversary show of “When I am God”. This was our second time to live print shirts at an Oh Sleeper show and it was a blast! It also just so happened to be the final show at The Door in Dallas, which made the night that much more special. This hand drawn design fit perfectly with the single-color manual printing of our Live Printing setup. Our fashion plastisol ink allowed us to print for hours while maintaining our detail and gave us a soft comfy print. The team consisted of J ..read more

What to Look for in a Screen Printer

Finding a screen printer for your custom shirts is easy, but finding the right printer can be very difficult. Before I started working in the screen printing industry I was involved in several t-shirt projects and had no idea what to look for or what to expect. I was left relying on the first google result and accepting any difficulties that came with it. Now, with five years in the industry under my belt, I’ve seen and heard enough stories to understand what separates the great printers and what an incredible difference they can make in a custom garment experience. We’ve created a list of wha ..read more

This month we did something really exciting as a team and headed off for a Trust camping trip. We closed down the shop on Friday and met at Mineral Wells State Park for a couple days of relaxing and spending time together. Time outside of work is so valuable for growing a healthy, connected team and this trip was a fantastic opportunity to connect. After some quick tent setup we took off for a picnic lunch, hiking, and rock climbing. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing soccer, games, and music before settling in by the fire to cook up some dinner. Beers, s’mores, 20 Ques ..read more

Our good friends at Musicbed and Filmsupply license fantastic libraries of music and video respectively for creative projects. This year they put on their first annual Film + Music Conference right down the street from our shop at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and Trust was able to be a part of the amazing weekend. The heart of the conference was to bring film and music together to “Start conversations. Challenge convention. Provoke change.”  If you know anything about Trust, you know that we love to be a part of movements that involve bringing people ..read more

We had the awesome opportunity to participate in the “Crafting from the Collection” event at the Amon Carter Museum. If you’re not local, the Amon Carter is a great art museum just down the road from us. They do a lot of work in the community and offer free admission to their exciting exhibits. The Crafting from the Collection event is a chance for people to come and learn an artful skill. Previous events have covered leather decoration and paper art, and this month it was time for screen printing! Jeremy, Hannah, and Jesse brought our live printing setup and demonstrated a short presentation ..read more
