Day one is spent driving from the airport to the hotel, and that’s it. The real adventure starts on day 2. Our flight is slated to arrive at 1430 hours. The plan is to grab a quick bite, pick up the car and head to Matsumoto. It’s about a 4-hour drive from the airport to the hotel. We considered booking transport for this part of the journey and only picking up the vehicle when in Matsumoto. Last autumn, we took a two-week trip to Japan. It was a self-drive itinerary starting from Nagano and ending in Tokyo. We stopped at Gotemba/Hakone and the Izu Peninsula in the middle. Every Hari Raya is a challenge. It is always a struggle between my willpower to stick to my healthy diet and my desire to try all the Hari Raya cookies that are on offer from Mdm Ling Bakery. Truth be told, every year my healthy diet takes a back seat as I munch down on just about any available flavour of cookies. This is a follow up post from my experience buying a film camera and getting into film photography.  I went back to Whampoa Color Centre to develop the first roll of film shot. Fingers crossed that they all turn out okay! The mechanics of the camera worked well to me. Nothing felt loose or cranky. In fact, the camera felt solid in my hands. The only sticking point was perhaps that the shutter speed dial was bit stiff. Maybe this is due to infrequent usage compared to the aperture dial. With a bit of force, it is still workable. I took a keen interest in street photography, or photography in general, when I got hold of the coveted Fujifilm X100V last year. Initially, I thought it would be cool to get the Instax cameras to use on travels to capture memories. I particularly dig the film’s look.
