I am originally -6 Had an eye exam and complained of blurry vision mostly at night when I read road signs. My optometrist added extra cylinder -0.25 to one eye and -0.25 sphere to other eye. I had my old glasses and new glasses and saw a negligible difference when reading road signs. I see the moon clearly on the old and new glasses. The difference is a very slight shadow above moon using the old glasses. Blurriness was obvious with the old glasses before but now I suddenly see okay with it. ? Back in January I was finally able to go to the eye doc after not seeing one for 3 years due to money/insurance. I feel like this is a pretty big jump compared to my old prescription? I just ordered my new pair of glasses last night so it’ll be a bit before I can physically tell the difference but the prescription change on paper worries me. As the title says, I (24m) needed new glasses for a while but was dreading the increase and inevitable slide into double digits. Finally took the plunge and went from -9.75 to -11.
