Harry McCulloch graduate from the University of Brighton with a BSc in Sport Science in 2014. Since graduating he’s completed two internships, worked in professional rugby and has now made a career at the top of Women’s football in England. Lauren Roberts studied her undergraduate physical education degree with us. She has now returned to study and is training to be a teacher through the Teacher Apprenticeship. Lauren plays hockey for Wales and received her first senior international call up in 2019 as an undergraduate student. Happy Café focuses on wellbeing

University of Brighton physiotherapy students and staff are getting together to focus on wellbeing in a new ‘Happy Café’ initiative. The first event took place in February and was attended by physiotherapy students on our undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy degrees and was led by Nicky Walker, lecturer in physiotherapy. Alumna receives $50,000 from Elton John AIDS Foundation to improve access to HIV care and education for youth in Uganda. Caroline Mukebezi, who graduated with a Master’s degree in Health Promotion, was awarded the grant for her project aimed at improving access to HIV response for vulnerable people – especially adolescents and young girls – in her native Uganda.
