Hi friends! It’s time again for my 1-day, in-person photography workshop on campus at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. We shoot entirely outdoors and it’s a really fun Spring day full of creativity and collaboration! I bring props and we create still life setups, practice composition and styling…then practice portraiture by photographing each other. More info is below, but if you’re hoping to improve your photography and use of natural light, I hope you’ll join me! Spring Tabelcloth Sale!

If you celebrate Easter or Passover, did your family have a special tablecloth they used every year for the holiday meal? My mom did, and it was a vintage pink floral pattern, often with a crochet table runner. I have fabric napkins with a lemon pattern handed down by my grandmother and a white lace tablecloth from a great aunt I love to use around this time of year. Perhaps you want to start your own family tradition, and if so, I have the perfect linen tablecloth. Inspired by springtime blooms and garden goodies, I created this unique floral pattern by combining my watercolor and photograph ..read more

The New Black Floral Outfit is Here! (and I'm living in it)

I’m the type of gal who likes to wear flowy floral dresses all summer. But when the days cool down, since I work from home, I reach for leggings and warm sweatshirts. But these outfits always feel so boring! Even when I’m comfy, I want to feel a little put together/fashionable/polished, you know? And “comfy outfits” don’t always feel special. I also wanted something fun to wear to kids’ soccer games on the weekend. I love print—and I rarely find leggings in a print I like, so I opt for solid colors, which don’t bring me much joy. So I decided to create what I couldn’t find! I started creating ..read more

This is one of my go-to weeknight dinners. The veggies can be prepared in advance and gnocchi takes only a few minutes to boil. Topped with shaved Parmesan and a bit of good olive oil, this is veggie comfort food at it’s best. Find it on the pages of my first book, The Forest Feast ..read more

This is one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten in a while and it was just a work-from-home lunch. You don’t need a recipe…it’s a free form salad with the best end-of-summer ingredients! On a plate, scatter the following: yellow heirloom tomatoes, cubed fresh figs, halved or quartered fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces a sprinkling of fresh herbs (I used basil, chives and thyme) flaky salt, like Maldon freshly cracked pepper a really good olive oil, such as the Forest Feast x PRMRY finishing oil Trader Joes Chili Crunch (obsessed with this stuff) I recently plante ..read more

Spiralized Zucchini "Noodle" Salad

This recipe from The Forest Feast Gatherings is one of my favorites in the summer. It has few ingredients, comes together quickly and is perfect for a warm evening. I use this little hand-held spiralizer which works like a big pencil sharpener and is easy to clean. You can also find squash pre-spiralized at some markets now. Raw zucchini, who knew it was so good?! Mix it 50/50 with cooked spaghetti to make it a little heartier. Enjoy ..read more
