There is not a day that goes by that one or more of my students state their common goal for the lesson session (or for golf in general) being “Consistency”. In fact it is a rarity for someone to not mention this very thing. We all want to be more “consistent”, a very challenging thing to be. “You gotta dance with the girl that brung ya!” –Daryl Royal, Former UT Football Coach As humans, we wake up feeling different every day. Stop Chunking with the ‘Chase the Ball’ Drill

Here’s How to Do the Chase the Ball Drill Place your golf ball in your stance just outside your front foot, so that it is positioned a little more forward than you typically have it. Take swings and focus on hitting the ball (which is out in front of where it normally is) essentially causing your body to “chase” the ball forward. This gets your weight forward upon impact. Most people don’t notice that their stance is too wide, it just gravitates there over time. Rarely does a golfer come to me with a stance that’s too narrow.
