The second ever Don River Dash was held in the dry river bed in the North Queensland town of Bowen on the weekend.
Above – All hands to the wheel in Preparing for race day.
Supported by the Whitsunday Regional council and run by the Burdekin offroaders inc Club, the event has grown from its inaugural year and hosted 75 drivers and a field of 140 Bike riders.
Heading the drivers list was Billy Geddes and the defending Champion from last year, driving his Geiser Bro’s trophy Truck.

Round 1 – 2020 Mickey Thompson Tires AORRA Queensland Long Course Off Road Racing Championship
On an 80km track carved out of 14 private properties 36kms East of Goondiwindi competitors flocked on the weekend to contest the ALBINS ARB Goondiwindi 400.
As an icon of the off-road racing season both competitors and spectators look forward to this annual event.

Bentley took the line honours for 2020The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour began in 1991 and is an endurance race for GT and production cars from all over the world, held on Mount Panorama Race Circuit. It is a race for GT3, GT4 and invited production-based endurance vehicles. Top flight GT3 teams will have 3-4 professional drivers with lower GT3 categories allowing non-professional drivers. GT4 and Invited have no driver restrictions.

2019 Motorsport – From behind the lens.
As 2020 fast approaches it is a good time to look back on 2019 from behind the camera lens.
The year started off in April in the small Queensland town of St George for round 1 of the BFGoodrich Australian Off Road Championship where Shannon Rentsch with co pilot and Dad Ian Rentsch we’re victorious. The Extreme 2WD trucks were great to photograph with both Greg Gartner and Beau Robinson providing ample opportunities for us photographers.

NSW & QLD are currently burning and with “Catastrophic fire conditions” forecast tomorrow for all of NSW and most of Queensland, the 2019 FIA WRC Kennard’s Hire Rally Australia is in serious doubt?
The ARC component of the rally has already been cancelled.
This needs to be put in perspective, people have lost lives and others have lost all, end of the day this is only a car race!

With the recent announcement from the FIA that New Zealand will again host a round of the 2020 FIA World Rally Championship, this will be at the expense of the Australian Round of the WRC.
Time to reflect on the past 7 years of a world class event on the NSW – Mid North Coast town of Coffs Harbour.
2011- My first visit to this event as a spectator and I was immediately hooked, my memory is Sebastien Loeb was caught out by wet roads and crashed and Mikko Hirvonen going on to win.

WRC Rally Spain – Day 1.
Rally Spain, what a contrasting day for Champions, one finds himself (9 times champion) leading the event and the other sees his aspirations for a seventh consecutive championship disappear.
You cannot write a script for the world Rally Championship, you have Hyundai 1st,2nd and 3rd after day 1 in Spain, you have 9-time world champion and semi-retired Sebastien Loeb leading by nearly 2 seconds.
