Jon Rahm’s incredible practice ace at Augusta back in 2020 continues to inspire golfers in a variety of positions to take on the water. This particular golfer skipped his shot over a greenside pond, onto a concrete lip and perfectly into the hole. This might have been the result of many tries, but it’s still a lot of fun to watch. PGA Tour pro Wesley Bryan will line up at The CJ CUP Byron Nelson with two 4-irons in his bag. Bryan has replaced his 5-iron with a second 4-iron to supplement his Takomo iron array. The ‘extra’ 4-iron is a Titleist T200, and the move has a lot to do with the yardage gapping between the two 4-irons he will be using. In Texas, Bryan gave GolfWRX.com an explanation of how his Takomo 301 CB 6-iron travels between 195 and 200 yards. Then, the Titleist T200 4-iron travels around 235 yards, and his new hollow-bodied Takomo 101U Driving Iron, which he started testing “a couple weeks ago,” bends about ..read more

Dramatically set to Paloma Faith’s Only Love Can Hurt Like This, a golfer’s slo-mo video of a shot will entertain and move you. This golfer has found himself in trouble in the trees but is being bold and going for it. He’s had the foresight to set a camera up for the shot, or at least we hope he did. If he had a buddy filming him there might be a whole lot more cause for concern. The shot rockets into a tree and back into the camera in a moment of glorious golf comedy. You’re in deep and we love you for it.. View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Great Swing | Golf Swing (@golf ..read more

It’s been a long time coming for Patrick Cantlay to finally upgrade from his Titleist 718 AP2 irons. Cantlay has been a tour professional who is averse to change and loves to stick with what has worked for him. However, PING have finally sent him a set of irons that he favours over his set of 718 AP2 irons from Titleist. Cantlay secured a total of seven PGA TOUR wins with his previous irons in his bag so there was always going to be some hesitation. Cantlay officially switched into PING’s Blueprint S irons at the 2024 Masters, marking the end of an era. PING Tour rep Spencer Rothluebber reveal ..read more

Billy Horschel waited nearly two years to claim his seventh PGA TOUR triumph at the Corales Puntacana Championship last weekend – and he did so on the back of a change to a familiar putter.   While much had changed for Horschel since his previous triumph, at the 2022 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, the putter he used in both victories stayed the same. However, that is not to say that the putter was in his bag the entire time. Horschel swapped putters in 2023 but returned to his beloved Ping Sigma2 Tyne 4 for this year’s PLAYERS Championship in March. “We switched back to a Ping ..read more

This is an interesting golfing dilemma, with a video showing a ball that has been embedded in the ground into the lip of the cup. There is a rule that goes part way to addresssing this, but it is unclear from the video whether the ball is resting against the flagstick. That is golf’s Rule 13.2c. If a player’s ball comes to rest against the flagstick left in the hole: If any part of the ball is in the hole below the surface of the putting green, the ball is treated as holed even if the entire ball is not below the surface. Collin Morikawa has followed the lead of fellow TaylorMade athlete Rory McIlroy in adding a prototype iron to his bag. The club is not currently marketed for sale by TaylorMade, but McIlroy suggested that they look and feel like a replacement for TaylorMade’s P7MC irons. Morikawa has found good touch despite his recent trialling of new equipment and has recorded back-to-back top-three finishes on Tour, all while working through a series of club changes. Morikawa used his older SIM model for the majority of the year to date until switching to a TaylorMade Qi10 LS 9-degree driver. He also m ..read more

Scottie Scheffler has had a way of making his shots when it matters in 2024. Scheffler resumed his domination by winning the storm-delayed RBC Heritage in South Carolina at the weekend, his fourth victory in five attempts. The world No.1 shot a three-under-par 68 in the final round to finish on 19 under and won by four strokes over fellow American Sahith Theegala. Inclement weather delayed Sunday’s final round for more than two hours before poor light cut play short. Scheffler’s game isn’t without what could be labelled errors, but right now he seems to have the fabled momentum that ..read more

Driving range facilities can have some pretty strict rules and you will see a fair few videos of golfers being ejected from a range. A lot of ranges object to players trying to hit outside of the nets and some go so far as to ban any full swings. The golfer in question here has gone full send or close to it with this swing. He has also been pulled up immediately. And he is out of there.
