Anyone still playing DCUO these days?

I'm a huge DC Comics fan but this MMO based on that universe never fully pulled me in. But I'm kind of missing it and am tempted to reinstall it on my computer and give it another chance. Primarily because I just like DC. But how is the game these days? Does it have a fairly active community? Is it relatively easy to level up and get decent gear? How are the stories? I don't expect it to be like FFXIV, LOTRO or SWTOR in terms of story, but I don't want it to be completely braindead either. Thinking about jumping back in this weekend. submitted by /u/JohnArtemus [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Interested in a group together have an idea

I have been jumping from one MMO to the next and just passing the time for the next "big" thing i guess. Seeing alot of MMOs, newer and older don't have a huge influx of new players due to the spread of the playerbase among all the games out there. I was thinking of getting a group/community if interested to go on and start on MMOs brand new and adventure through the game trying and enjoying the games together rather just soloing and not seeing much action in the massive sense. Idea would be community selects a particular game to play and start date and we all go and play for a set time befor ..read more

I made the noob failure of commenting that the mmorpg’s we have an option for are all 20 year old games that just happen to have a stranglehold on the market. There used to be mention of a wow killer for ages. Now that we are all waiting for Thrones of Liberty, I thought I’d have a thread with our ideas (at least mine) All is quiet. The stealth ? group has prepared a path after scouts risked their lives searching for this hideout. The caves seem to go on forever and it would be easy to get lost, starve, die, and suffer a huge penalty in all the twists and turns. There are strange plants all a ..read more

Never played an mmorpg, I wanna play one now, any suggestions?

I'm sure questions like these are asked a lot in this sub but whenever I look at old post I find lists with dozens of suggestions, and I get easily stunlocked by too many choices. I also do know what the big ones are but I find it kinda scary to jump in a 10+ yo game, dunno why, its probably irrational. So I would prefer a newer game or a good argument to play an old one. submitted by /u/giopix [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

SO the new TLP for EverQuest comes out and when searching for new MMO I wanted to go to the GRANDDAD of all MMOs EverQuest but everyone say that TLP it best time to play because I guess LOTS of people start so it’s closest you can get to the CLASSIC era I guess now I will say I play 20 hours in the tutorial cave and let me tell you this game is OLD it takes ALOT of time to learn because the UI is visual nightmare but once you get it it becomes great it just takes ALOT but for me that what I like tho the challenge like I want to be able to understand it it very hardcore experience but very ver ..read more

Backtracking quests

Man I hate it. It's 2024, do I really have to run 15 minutes and talk to npc's I don't care about with 2 minutes of gameplay in between? My childhood game(that I still play to this day) is a niche Korean born mmo called rising force online. Even though the game is from 2007, quests came automatically to you from your race leader as a pop up bubble like a skype call. No running from here and there, just grind mobs, dungeons pvp and stuff. I've played like 5 different popular/semi popular MMOs and just can't find one that doesn't bore me within 3 hours of running around and listening to lore I ..read more

MMO’s with elements from TFT / Autochess?

Hey people! I definitely feel like I know the answer to this before I get going - but I’m curious to know if anything is available to scratch the below itch: I’m a big Teamfight Tactics enjoyer. I love the depth and team building, itemization and more. I love the AFK style battle - all strategy but low APM and action requirements. Lately I’ve been trying out AFK journey and it seems to hit all the marks - but the paywall / progression wall is pretty immense. So it begs me to ask - are there any NON predatory MMO’s with “Auto Chess” style strategic team battle combat that doesn’t require high ..read more
