The halls are decked and the tree is trimmed, the holidays are here! This year there are new ornaments on our tree. Sketches of the Tidewater Inn and the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club hand painted onto keepsake ornaments. A unique way to share the memories made at these special venues. Fall colors really add a lot to a wedding color scheme and great accents to wedding invitation suites. Copper is a great color and metallic to add to the mix and we have had several couples pair copper with navy for paper products and other aspects of the wedding decor. One bride took her whole wedding inspiration from the gorgeous copper Moscow Mule mugs she used for favors and incorporated the metallic accent in a ribbon on the invitation and a copper colored ink on the nautical chart envelope liner. Cink Art was a co-sponsor with other area vendors of the Whitehall Wedding Venue Planning Event held this past Wednesday. Whitehall is a stunning property near Annapolis on the water with a gorgeous historic mansion backdrop, available for weddings. We were happy to contribute the invitations and other stationery for the event including a hand drawn map of the event day. The Spring brought us a gorgeous photoshoot designed by Drew Vanlandingham of the Vanlandingham Design Studio. We love working with Drew who’s design direction is over the top beautiful and allows us here at Cink Art to really stretch our design wings to create the stationery to compliment the session. We can’t say it enough - we love a theme! We participated in a Crab Feast/Maryland Flag/Beach themed wedding photoshoot in 2018 organized by Madison Berlen Photography that was great fun and wonderful to create invitations and accessories for. We especially loved making the crab mallet menu cards for the crab feast reception and making the tags for the Old Bay wedding favors. We created this skipjack inspired wedding stationary suite for Marissa and Christopher’s big day at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Their invitations and programs featured a hand done watercolor painting of a skipjack sailboat which reflects the bride and groom’s love of boating. We paired their stationary with a nautical map inner liner and small nautical sketches on each accessory card to tie together the whole suite.
