When I think back to 3 years ago....well...3 and a half years ago....and my attitude and thinking towards motorbikes, and road racing it was completely different to how I feel now. I thought it was selfish. How could these men, and women, risk their lives, put their families through the anxiety and nervousness of the dangerous speeds they travel on these machines. I didn't understand the thrill. My brother has a motorbike and has done for years. I never really wanted to think about the dangers of it. I've always thought, and still do, that he is a safe rider, and seeing these riders in ..read more

This year I was spending two weeks on the Isle of Man, longer than the previous 5 days in 2015 and 8 in 2016. And was able to explore the island after deciding to drive over in my car. With that in mind I came up with a list of things I wanted to do and places I wanted to visit when the racing wasn't on. As a Crazy Cat Lady and a mummy to two cats I had to visit the Mann Cat Sanctuary. Now, to be honest, I like dogs as much as I like cats. I only really have my two cats because of my ex-husband, cats would never really have been my choice of pets. However, after reading about the Cat Sanctuar ..read more

Isle of Man 2017 | Fairy Bridge
She Flies With Her Own Wings

I remember when I first went to the Isle of Man. My brother told me that on the way to the campsite the taxi would be taking me past the Fairy Bridge and told me I had to wave and say hello to the fairies for good luck. The taxi driver pointed the bridge out to me, I saw bikes parked on the road and leather clad men stood looking down at the stream and reading the tree and the messages on the stones. I didn't wave, it felt a bit silly to be honest, although the idea was sweet and I certainly didn't expect to see grown men in leathers, big beards...proper MEN, standing saying hello to fairies ..read more

My New Year
She Flies With Her Own Wings

For me there is now only....*checks countdown app on phone*...13 days until the new year. Until MY new year. The Isle of Man TT in 2015 was a big turning point in my life. It was the moment really that a lot of things that were going around in my head for the previous 6 months made sense. Coming home was strange and a confusing time because life was the same but I was so different. I guess I didn't fit the life I had returned to. Or that life didn't fit me anymore. It was scary. I wondered how I would cope or whether or not I was doing the right thing. I wondered if it was just a phase and if ..read more

"Put on ITV4 now, there is a film on called Road. It's about a family of racers in the TT called The Dunlops". I wasn't particularly interested, and didn't pay too much attention really. I put it on but wasn't concentrating. But I managed to watch the whole film, and found towards the end that I had tears in my eyes....no surprise there really. I do cry a lot. And then my brother invited me to the TT. By that point I knew a bit more about the Dunlops, wasn't quite aware of how amazing they are, Michael in particular when it comes to the TT. And even then I didn't really appreciate him so much ..read more

Castletown #TT2015

I know right, surely the hashtag on this title is wrong? Surely that should say 2016? Well no. Little Miss Lazy Pants here just became so overwhelmed with life last year that I didn't get round to posting about all the beautiful places we went. One of my total favourites, and one we didn't manage to visit again this year, was Castletown. Jumping on the back of my brothers bike I always put my trust in him to take us somewhere cool. He has this fantastic knowledge of the island and never wants to waste a day. We'll pull up somewhere, I'll pause and say "Off?" and he'll park the bike up and we ..read more

An Irish Roadtrip | Ireland 2016

For the second time in a month I drove to the Premier Inn at Stansted airport to enjoy an overnight stay before yet another early morning flight. For the second time in 3 months I sent a message to my brother "See you tomorrow" as I looked forward to spending another holiday with him away from England. In June we went to the Isle of Man together. My brother is more than aware of my obsession and love for the Dunlop family and in July he messaged me asking if I fancied a trip to Ireland for our birthday. Part of the plan was to visit the memorial garden for two of the Dunlops, Robert and Joey ..read more

Someone to go on walks with. And little adventures with. Someone to send me morning and good night messages. Someone who wants to hold my hand. Someone to snuggle with on the sofa with. Someone who makes time for me. Someone who wants to get to know me, learn about me, and understand me. Someone who wants to learn about my passions and teach me about theirs too. Someone who will see my flaws and accept them. Someone who will see my insecurities and help me to get over them. Someone who wants to be seen with me. Someone who is unafraid to kiss me in public, and show affection oblivi ..read more
